Before I start on anything, I just want to say that I've long gotten use to people not coming down to support comp team for nationals. Cos it's long and draggy and there's a lot of waiting. Even if it's not for the whole thing, it's okay. Even if it's just coming down for a short while, I appreciate it. So I want to thank Steffi, Xinyu and Jiahui who came down today (: Xie xie ni men.
I'll thank Shinyi, Hushen and Valerie later :D

Slept at 2 plus in the morning yesterday cos I was doing history transcription online and trying to polish Gwendolyn's boots. Sorry Gwen! I know your boots are not very shiny :/
Awoke at 5.14am because someone messaged me. Huiming told me that her cullottes' zip is spoiled so she wanted me to lent her mine. After that, I went back to sleep and woke up at 6am later. Prepared and got ready to get out of house.
COMP TEAM REACHED BISHAN SO EARLY LAH :DReached Bishan. Saw Shinyi. Found comp team in the toilet (: They were busy changing and gel-ling their hair up and doing goodness knows what. HAHA! And Gwendolyn's cullottes' buckle came off! Goodness. Luckily Eliza had safety pin to pin the cullottes up :D Comp team looked really smart in their full u today. Especially with their hair gelled to their scalp and their uniform sticking to their bodies and their shining boots. It's just the way they present themselves. The

After spending quite some in the toilet, we realised we were running short of time! :/ Comp team was supposed to fall in at 8am but at 7.20am, they were still in the toilet! So we hurried them to catch a taxi to get to Guangyang and
SHINYI HUSHEN VALERIE ME ran to Guangyang by foot! (: Comp team said they saw us in the taxi and they waved but we didn't see. Haha.
Before the whole thing started, comp team was quite nervous at the benches. They almost wanted to cry ): They were scared. They were nervous. We couldn't see anyone smiling. But I saw that they could overcome all this (even if it's putting up a strong front).
They fell in.
NC 2. Couldn't talk to us after that and they went to collect their bags. And it was byebye to them ): They then proceeded to the waiting room while the FOUR OF US went to check their schedule for the competition. Ran everywhere. Especially when all the metal gates were pulled down. RAHHHHH.
They had
footdrill first. They did make a couple of mistakes. But I felt that they did great nonetheless (: So what if they "screwed up the whole procedure". I still believe they are the most outstanding among all the year threes and together, they give the
best team drill.
After that was
homenursing. Was quite well done (: I think everyone smiled, including my dearest reserve (: THE WASH BASIN. Haha. Great job, Comp team!
Lunchbreak. Jiahui came for a while then left with Xinyu and Steffi. So the four of us just sat under the shade and studied :D
After that was
first aid case. Even though they did do something wrong (I thought) but I felt that there was great team rapport (: YAY.
Went to J8 after that with the three of them to get flowers for hushen's friends. Haha. And bought stuff for comp team too :D Then rushed back to Guangyang for the release of results.
I like it whenever comp team appears or goes off after a case or procedure, everyone would start clapping and cheering for them! :D

So yes. Was listening to the judges talk and it seemed like comp team made all the mistakes the judges said. But it didn't really bother us :D
Nursing Cadet. Zone 5 didn't win anything. Zone 2 was the big winner. Their screams were making me deaf haha cos they were sitting in front of us. Oh well, that just means that Zhonghua didn't win anything. Ha but they for fifth for overall though.
Ambulance Cadet. Zone 5 didn't win anything again. Zone 7 (HWACHONG) was fabulous! (: They swept away so many of the trophies PLUS 1st runner up for overalls!
NURSING ADULT. Haha we really didn't bear
ANY hope. Cos all the other zones look so pro and zai and their zones kept going up the stage to get the trophies and Zone 5 was never called up. HAHA. Amusing man. We got
lowest for footdrill. After seeing that, we were really not hoping for
ANYTHING. Just don't get last for overalls jiu ke yi le. Then it was first aid. Then it was homenursing.
WE GOT FIRST FOR HOMENURSING CAN YOU BELIEVE IT.Seriously, I was so shock at first. It took me quite some time to get this registered. And I teared. Haha. First leh, are you kidding me?!
OUR COMP TEAM, GOT FIRST FOR HOMENURSING? Then we saw Huiming marching up the stage and we started
yelling and screaming and shouting like shit. Really, we screamed our lungs out. Whatever that was inside me, I SCREAMED IT ALL OUT. Shinyi and Valerie too! And the rest of the supporters (: Then we were thinking, getting first for homenursing is good enough. Too good to be true la! Can pack up like this and go home alr! Haha. Then
another surprise came.
WE GOT 2ND RUNNER UP FOR NATIONALS ADULT OVERALLS. I REPEAT, WE GOT 2ND RUNNER UP FOR NATIONALS ADULT OVERALLS.Believe me, I was utterly shocked. Jaw dropped dead. Once again, WE SCREAMED AND SHOUT LIKE THERE'S NO TML. The scene was
spectacular. I saw
NYNC'07. I saw the
five of them march up the stage and get their trophies. I saw them
ON STAGE receiving their trophies. It really really felt great.
Ambulance Adult. ZONE 7 - HWACHONG. They literally swept whatever they could possibly get and got FIRST for nationals AA overalls! Good job. And I was still living in a state of shock from what happened previously.
To those who missed this, I'm sorry I think you'll have to live in regret. This ain't easy to come by. For years. YEARS. We've been waiting and waiting till we no longer bear any hopes. We just don't want to get last. That's all we asked for. And today, comp team relived all my hopes for future NYSJAB comp team. I see light now.It was such a spectecular sight, so hard to come by. Believe me. Everyone screaming and shouting and yelling and cheering and going crazy. Youcan feel the
NANYANG ST JOHN SPIRIT. I can feel like I'm a part of it again. Nevermind if it's just for that short while. I'm loving it.
We did lost to Zhonghua during Zonals. But losing was
never a failure. Today, comp team made me so proud. They showed everyone that even though they're taking part in NATIONALS ADULT SECTION, it's possible to achieve something. We were the
only school from Zone 5 who clinched something. They did Zone 5 proud. They did NANYANG proud. They did NYSJAB proud. Who dare to look down on us.
I want to show Zhonghua that nothing's gonna bring us down. What you all did to our seniors a few years ago, we'll always remember it. We could easily have done the same to yall today but we didn't. Look out for us next year. Be prepared to face a even stronger opponent.
I want to show the ex ex ncos that it's okay if they aren't supportive of comp team. Ever since they lost during zonals, yall didn't seem to care anymore. Or rather, most of you didn't seem to care anymore. And it didn't affect us. It didn't affect comp team. Cos we're with them (:
I want to show the officers in HQ that HEY THIS IS NANYANG ST JOHN OKAY. Don't play play arh! Don't look down on us anymore just because we lost to Zhonghua year after year. We're making a comeback so just you wait!
I want to show Jiayi that we don't need you to achieve something. You don't even care anyway. Forever coming up with a thousand and one reasons. And you forever don't keep to what you say. You say you're going to come today right. Yes you said that yourself so where are you today? Haha forget it lah. I don't even want to see you. The only reason why I would find okay with your existence is because of Huiming. To me, I don't have a no. 1. But that's okay. Cos having a no. 2, no. 3, no. 4 and nync'07 is more than enough to make up for it.
I'll make the following short.
Huiming! I want to tell you that you are really capable and you look really really zai today. I've never been more proud of you. You're the best leader I've seen in comp team for years. I mean it. Without a no. 1 to train you, you can still be what you are today, it's really impressive. You're forever so optimistic and I wonder how you do that! HAHA (: Must jiayou and everyone knows you are ZAI cos you are NYNC'07 de NO. ONE!
Yiling! I like to make fun of you a lot! Haha. I want to tell you that to me, you're really the one in your team with a very good attitude. I've seen that in you right from the start. And I'm still seeing it! :D A positive and good attitude will really bring you a long way and I've enjoyed training you, seriously.
Eliza! Smile more please Eliza! Cos you really look sweet when you smile and everyone loves seeing you smile! You've changed a lot, a lot. Your first aid now is fabulous. Your discipline is tip top. You are serious in your learning (: You have a long way to go so must continue improving and learning!
Guochang! Haha you arh! Always thinking about food. Though you're really blur at times and I like to make fun of you too, but I know you've always been listening to our advice and improving. You can be so adorable at times please. HAHA. I like your timing and the attitude you bring to trainings too! MUST JIAYOU ALSO!
Gwendolyn! My ke ai de no. 5 please. Haha. You arh, I can tell and know that you put in a lot of effort as a no. 5 and I'm proud of you for that. I'm sorry I know I didn't train you well but I'm glad you're forever so HAPPY AND SMILEY. I like the way you ALWAYS take down notes for your teammates for every single case wcen though no one asked you to. Always sit/stand at one side silently. I hope you've enjoyed this whole process (:
SHINYI AND VALERIE! Xiexie ni men. Zhen de, zhen de. Without yallm how is this possible. More than half a year of hard work. Just the three of us training them. No matter how hard it gets, we hung on. We never thought of giving up on them even when they're at their worst. All the mock comps. All the trainings. Zonals. Nationals. We made it. We did it. Everyone, clap for us please.
HUSHEN! I understand that it's not that you don't want to come for trainings but you can't. Thus, we appreciate it EVERY time you make your appearance at mock comps, zonals and nationals. We love us and we miss you, as always. You'll forever be our no. 3. You'll forever be a part of NYNC'06, a part of the squad, a part of NYSJAB! <3 color="#990000" size="5">NYNC'07 IS LOVE. SO MUCH LOVE.
We'll continue this good history in years to come. We will. They won't disappoint. (:
I love them. And I'll miss training them. I'll miss lunch drills with them.
