flag day today at somerset.
i got a lot of 2-dollar notes,
one 5-dollar note..
and one FIFTY-dollar note!

i was so shocked i could only gape with my mouth wide open at the very generous lady. (:

haha. i was amused at the many things which happened.
ME: "Morning sir, would you like to donate to the Apex Rehab Center for the needy elderly?" *smiles*
THAT UNCLE: "SURE. go get it from the angmoh over there *points at the caucasian some distance away* "
ME: *GLARES AT HIM AS HE WALKED AWAY*
seriously i was very pissed with him at first cos he sounded so sarcastic. i have no right to comment but really, if he doesn't want to make a donation, it's really okay. i mean there are many others who didn't bother to donate either. he doesn't have to do this to make a fool out of himself. and he made a wrong assumption and he over-generalised. [LANGUAGE ARTS!]. he assumed that by asking caucasians to donate, they will and generalised the fact that caucasians denote generously. aiyee. but after a while, i decided not to give a hoot about his not-very-nice gesture. rahh.
still, i'm happy. (:
