hospital duty

hello! RAHH. (:
had hospital duty at changi general hospital for the whole of last week for 8am to 1pm. ((: YAY. i was kind of looking forward to it. eh i think we felt kind of lost at the start cos we didn't know what to help out with. the nurse manager just told us that we are just here as observers. but we must do something right! YES. i guess we as the first and second day pass by, we kind of already know what to do!
our daily routine:
serve breakfast, feed patients, walk around, attend to call bells, make bed fold blankets, go for break, follow the OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST around and help him with his work, serve lunch, try to coax ahma to eat her lunch and walk around again!
THEN GO FOR LUNCH WITH SQUADMATES <333
((: i dunno why but i enjoy following the occupational therapist around. maybe it's cos i get to learn a lot from him. practical and theoretical (sp?!) stuff. he says his job is to get the patients back to FUNCTION mode. help them with their recovery through different means depending on the patient's condition. meaningful job. so i'm inspired to be one too (:
a physiotherapist is not bad too :D
i love seeing buddha ahma smile (:
and after the hospital duty, i'm sure my hokkien improved! :D

oh btw, i was working in ward 45 with jiahui and xinyu (geriatric department). celia, steffi and hsuan were working in ward 46. eh i forgot the name of the department they're working in but it's the one dealing with bones and stuff. haha.
oh and we wore our full u for all five days! actually it should be six. cos the day before monday, we had nco course so we had to wear full u too. rahhh. wore the uniform for 6 days throughout but never wash :/ HEE. cannot be helped. the weather nowadays is so.. WET. how my full u dry ne? haha.

anyway, had squad meeting today. rahhh. i like it when we are productive. (: i guess like what almost everyone says, there are bound to be conflicts within a squad especially when we're having camp discussion. haha. but the weird thing about our squad is that even if we have disagreements, we are not that kind who will start screaming and shouting at one another! for that, i'm glad. we come to agreements easily :D
anyway, (i'm anyway-ing again!) our squad is so funny! especially when we talk about the zhouang thing! haha. and so many so many other stuff! YAY. the one about jannath valerie and steffi. OMG. that was hilarious man. can you hear me laughing like a mad woman now? HAHA. no of course you can't! :D so stupid.
okay! so halfway during the meeting, valerie and i hitched a ride from charlene's dad (thankew aunty and uncle!) cos we had to go coro to buy lunch for squadmates. the weather was so fine and cloudy then. but just as valerie and i wanted to step out of coro (with our bags of lemon chicken rice and fried rice), we realised that it was raining! no, should be.. it was POURING. gosh. then zijia called. and i told squadmates to come fetch valerie and i from the school busstop. okay.
so we reached the school busstop (the side gate was locked) and we waited for squadmates to come.. but after waiting for quite some time, we never see anyone! so valerie and i decided to walk in the rain back to the front gate! WALKING IN THE RAIN :D rahhh. so we were all drenched when we reached school. RAHH. :D it was then i saw zijia's message. she asked us to give her a call when we reach the school sidegate busstop so squadmates can come and fetch us :D rahhh.

anyway, i mailed the christmas cards yesterday! and i gave squadmates their christmas cards during meeting today ((: yay. so now, i cleared all the christmas cards i have. (:

eh apparently i'm supposed to get one from shinyi too!
but i think it hasn't reached my mailbox yet!

wa i didn't know counting the saga seeds will take me an hour.
what a meaningful way to spent time right? HAHA.

rahh! you know for the whole of last night, my brother and i had to sleep in the living room. heee. actually, we have to sleep in the living room for tonight too! rahhhh. cos my cousins came over for sleepover and there are no enough space for my brother and i in the rooms. but i rather sleep in the living room!
